I know that I’m dense, but I don’t really understand Blogdex. Can anyone explain it to me?
(I also don’t understand why Bridget Fonda hasn’t had a good part in years, but that’s another topic.)

Blogdex is another way for bloggers to pat themselves on the back. If you’re on the A-list, you’ve been listed for weeks and weeks. If you’re part of the rabble, you might be listed soon. Blog of the Day and Give Love:Get Love were technically Blogdex’d, but it wasn’t until today that BOTD had any listings for links, and neither site was getting credit for having linked to things, even when we linked to things really really early, dammit. I’ll push my jealousy and outrage deep down into a secret hiding place now and mention that I think Blogdex is one guy’s research thingy. He’s not up to speed yet, and he’s still fooling around with how to create a list of what the most popular links are.
I can’t shut up about this. Once you do get listed, if you’re lucky enough to get credit for being linked to, you become much higher profile. BOTD was #24 on the most linked list today, and I got lots and lots of extra visitors.
Bridget Fonda was terrific in Jackie Brown. Check it out if you haven’t already!
I liked Jackie Brown too, Xkot, but that was 1997! The following year was A Simple Plan, but since then, bupkiss. Nada. It’s a shame.
I can’t recommend Kiss of the Dragon, but I can recommend Bridget Fonda IN Kiss of the Dragon. Pretty well done.
