Once I was so depressed I was smushed into this little depressive puddle between the pillow and the mattress, and I didn’t have the energy to turn my head so I could properly take in oxygen instead of breathing through the pillow, and my husband brought me home two Road Runner tapes and after watching them, I howled so hysterically it was hard for me to even remember I had been depressed.
I used to watch Road Runner cartoons with my dad just about every Saturday morning when I was growing up. So in addition to the humor, it’s also a memory of my father.
