Unbelievable ad of the week
There’s a commercial out now for Best Buy, where the tagline is something like “Do you like to try things out before you buy?” First we see the guy in a Home Depot-type store, passing by the toilets. Then you see him look around, raise up the toilet seat, drop his pants and sit down.
Then, in the next shot, you see him touching literally every surface at your local Best Buy – computers, VCRs, video games.
Remind me to bring a can of Lysol the next time I go to Best Buy.
Hmmmm, wonder what is on Salon.com… maybe more relevant.

Boy, I’m really getting the abuse today.
Actually, I was quite surprised I’ve never seen a guy in the “Men’s” store do just what that guy did. I have, however, seen them drooling over tools and caressing assorted hardware.
I promise I will never use Lysol as the conclusion to my posts.
I used to work at a drugstore. My boss told me how he had to replace a store toilet around the same time that the store paper had an ad for some toilet bowl cleaner. So, he used the toilet in an endcap with the product. He said that the district manager came in for inspection and when he saw the toilet, he started to pull at his pants and unzip his fly in front of my manager. Then, he got yelled at and had to take down the toilet.
