Back from the beyond

Post – May 20, 2002

After many months, I have a new client site up: the Garvey & Stoddard law firm site. Let me know what you think. The interesting thing about this site is that I’m using my old friend Blogger for their “latest news” page, so they can keep it updated themselves. I wonder if weblogs are being used in other business settings?

And if I haven’t mentioned recently, I’m looking for new clients. If you throw some business my way, I’ll give you a referral fee.

Jason Kottke and toher A-listers are pretty excited that Macromedia is requiring employees to blog. I haven’t checked out the blogs, but that’s the only example that I know about.

Nice page. The fonts look a little weird on my screen, but that may be the “font-smoothing” stuff XP is doing “for” me.

FYI, Web development companies with on-staff programmers (like mine) have been producing and using “blogger” type tools for many years (since 1995). But I must admit for an art/HTML-only shop, Blogger must be a godsend.

I’ve written tools like this too, bitchen (witness this very page). But in this client’s case, they didn’t have the money for me to construct something just for them. So Blogger was a great solution.
