Get Into His Head
(idea courtesy of Arthur)

Ladies and gentlemen, I never knew being president would be this hard. I just thought it would be sort of fun, carrying on the family tradition and all that. And think about it, who wouldn’t want to be president? The limos, the state dinners, maybe get your face on a coin. But now, when I can’t get away to the ranch, I just spend my days in all kinds of meetings where everyone is mad at everyone else. It’s frustrating and not fun at all, and I don’t think people are really listening to me. It’s not like in Texas, where talking over good barbecue could solve a lot of problems. And everyone’s always quizzing me all the time – my nerves are shot. Don’t get me wrong, Dick and Don and Condie have been great. But it’s just too much. Maybe if we can get in there and get Saddam, things will calm down. I hope so.

    Get over it.

That’s still an incredibly uninteresting perspective, Mosey. Is it possible to get over how over it you are? How many levels of abstraction can you hold in your head at one time? They say that crows and certain other birds are attracted to shiny things. I don’t know what that seems germane.

We’ll get over it when the unelected vacate the White House. We’ll get over it when imbeciles stop threatening to launch unilateral wars (ie terrorism if anyone else does it). We’ll get over it when spoiled little coke addicts stop dismantling the Constitution.

If that takes until 2004, so be it. Unfortunately, by then we won’t be able to “get over it” because we’ll be so busy repairing the damage done by dubya and his band of thieves.

    Whoops, there I go again…

…and steering the comments back to their original intent Nice speech Adam.

yeah because war ALWAYS calms things down. anyone who actually believes anything this man says nowadays scares me.

“mr. president.. the polls are down again, your approval rating is dropping as people relieve they can love america and still think you suck!”

“can we bomb someone? i dunno.. like canada or iceland.. or Saddam! we haven’t bombed him in awhile! that’ll make those gullible bastards me love again!”

    “good president.. have a cookie!”

don’t ask me who he was talking to there.

my speech is up on GOAB. Hey Adam… if you go back to that link, it will load a really cool word scamble where you can create sentences and press a button, and GB will speak it back. Just be certain to turn on your speakers. (maybe you already did this… your speech had many many more words than offered on that page… maybe I should go back and re-write mine… in my own words. nice.)

Vikki: You caught me. I didn’t see the link to that site on Arthur’s page – I have underlining turned off. D’oh! It’s really cool. So I guess I didn’t do the project correctly. But it was fun to write, anyway.

Exactly, get over it. Repeating happens when the same bland complaint deserves teh same bland reponse.

    It’s worse than Salon.
