Exactly what are Bruce Banner’s pants made out of? (I’m not even going to comment on the pose in the linked image. Nope. No comment.)

I dunno about the material, but I’ve got several comments to make about the pose… ;->
Ah yes – what MST3K used to refer to as the “buffalo shot,” or, more descriptively, the “hinder shot.” They did a stunning montage of such scenes from the movie “Outlaw,” starring a justifiably embarrassed Jack Palance, which I’ll be more than pleased to show to you when you come to visit me.
Purple… they’re made out of purple.
They’re made of dreams, Adam. Sweet dreams.
Censor’s wishes? Gravy? Little pebbles? Paint?

bruce banner is wearing a towel, shortly thereafter bruce banner is turning into the Hulk, then smashing through a wall (then it cuts away and says “the hulk blah blah blah”)
i just couldn’t help but picture the next two minutes of this scene playing out, wherein there’d be wayyyyyyy too much CG hulk-parts, which i don’t think anyone should be subjected to.
When I worked at Sears we shold these polyester/spandex blend pants called Flex-Slax that were designed to stretch so fat guys could get even fatter and not have to buy new pants. The Hulk wears purple Flex-Slax.

Great link, Matt. The best thing about that story was the pictures of the CGI Hulk with the caption “Eric Bana” below them.
Precisely, Adam. I wonder why they didn’t just caption them, “The Hulk, wearing pants.” It would fit the article better. Besides, why should Eric Bana get the credit instead of the effects artists who composited the stills?
But, back to the pants. Even the director of the film knew how silly that is and tried to go without them. I can’t wait to find those pictures on the ‘net. 🙂
