City web sites

Does anyone know of any *good* municipal web sites? I’m up for redesigning a small city’s web site, and it occurred to me that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a good city web site – they’re all pretty bad. If anyone knows any nice-looking, useful municipal sites, let me know in the comments. Thanks.

    Ours is ok: http://www.coj.net

One of the things I like is the “I want to…” and “I am…” menus, which make finding all the common services easy. I’m not sure I’d have called them that, but the concept is pretty good for non-pc literate types.

Tucson’s city site (http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/) borrows liberally from the Yahoo directory style and gets a lot of info/links on the home page.

Ypsilanti has a very appealing website

That would appeal to me more if I could read any of that text.
