I need a support group

I need to stop reading these damn right-wing-nut web sites. If I don’t, I may get an ulcer or just start shooting (of course, Kim “Down with Simpering Butt-Bandits” du Toit would probably applaud that).

Is there a support group or something I can join?

    Opposition is true friendship!

I’m not sure I know what that means.

An enemy will say “Why, no, honey, you’re butt is NEVER too big.” and will let you leave the house looking like there are prize winning hogs under a knit blanket on your hips.

arg — take that apostrophe and “e” out of “your”. This is what happens when cats feel that ON the keyboard is the best spot.

Don’t let ’em get you down… With some of these people, logic is useless. They’re mean-spirited, ill-informed and don’t have the faintest clue about civil public debate. I think habitually reading their blogs might give the impression that they have more reach/influence than they really do. Frankly, I hadn’t heard of du Toit or Esmay until I read quotes on WMT. I don’t plan on looking at their sites since I already know hateful, wrong-headed people are out there. (I will, however, read legitimate conservative columnists who at least try to substantiate their points. I don’t believe in completely tuning out opposing viewpoints.) I think all we as individuals can do is exercise our own right to speak out, to each other and our legislators, volunteer for the campaigns we believe in, etc. Yes, stupid right-wing bloggers are awful, but they’re not going to go away or be swayed by logic. Such is life.

Depends on whether you really WANT to stop — the story comes to mind (Mel Brooks, maybe?) about the little girl who had a compulsion to tear paper. Her parents tried everything they could think of, and then sought advice from many people as to how to make her stop, but nothing worked. They finally took her to a psychiatrist who said “Little Girl — stop tearing paper.”
But if you’re really kind of enjoying annoying them (rhymes), go ahead 🙂

How in the hell could anybody be married to someone who thinks “pussification” is a word and then uses it as an insult?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you don’t really understand “true grit” until you’ve taken it up the ass. I pity his wife (for more reasons than one) and I pity his son. I hope for his sake that he’s gay — it’ll arm him with a sense of humor against the Michael Savage clone that’s raising him.
