Seriously fucking scary talk over at Dean Esmay. If anyone doubts how much the right is licking their chops over the possibility of making some towel-head countries into glass parking lots, all you need to do is read this thread. Utterly sickening.
I honestly think now that the sugar high of the Iraq invasion is fading, they’re jonesing for another fix. The problem with addicts is, they need more and more each time to maintain the high. We need a methadone clinic for xenophobic murderers.
Quite the giddy band of bloodthirsty ass-clowns on that site. I wouldn’t take them too seriously. I think they’re what my Mom calls “all mouth.”
ADAM. Why do i follow those links you post? I can’t tell you how upsetting reading that post, and all the responses, was for me. 15 years ago, I got a call from my then-boyfriend that he had to leave the city to go see his parents, as his younger sister may have been in a plane crash. As it turned out, it was the PAN-AM 103 bombing, and the weeks after that, with the uncontrollable sobbing from the man I loved was too much to bear. I can’t, in a million years, imagine anyone wishing that suffering on anyone, no matter what. When I hear or read about people like those posting on that site you linked to, I realize that while I may have abandoned my Catholic upbringing, I have certainly conducted my life in a much more Christian manner than any of those people have, in both thought and action. And it makes me angry and sad that perhaps I have lost out on a spiritual side of my life because so many of these folks have hijacked the meaning of Christ’s life to their own sick and perverted agendas. What ever happened to a basic respect for human life? Who are these people to even joke about the mass killing of people? I only hope that at some point in the very near future some of those folks regret the insane and insensitive devaluing of human life they exhibit over there.

BJ: The thing is, I don’t think they were joking at all, even Rosemary’s original post. I think they say now they were joking because of the extreme reaction, and maybe a little realization of how crazy they are. But who knows. Either way, they’re evil.
