Banana
At the same trip to Borders I wrote about below, I came upon a book by a person I’d never heard of, Banana Yoshimoto. I’ve decided that “Banana Yoshimoto” has surpassed “Babe Didrickson Zaharias” as my favorite name of all time.

I forgot about Banana ! I love her books. I’ll have to go and read them again…
I’ve only read “Amrita” so far, with “NP” sitting in my pile to read. Yep, fun name. Good author, too. It helps to be very familiar with anime, I’ve found.
Two of my favorite names are “Al Smutko” (construction guy on the old Startrek series) and “Bitty O’Sullivan-Smith” dialogue and sound editor on dozens of movies. Names like those jump out at me when I see them. Weird.
