Back from the beyond

Bullets

Bullets GWB has dodged (so far):

-his lackadaisical “military service”
-the “16 words” about uranium in Africa
-The Wilson/Plame CIA affair
-musical chairs in the administration
-Cheney and Halliburton and Iraq
-“Mission Accomplished” and the carrier landing
-the only job-losing presidency since Hoover
-cutting veterans’ benefits in wartime
-turning a budget surplus into a massive deficit in less than three years
-no WMD in Iraq
-no link between Saddam and Al Qaeda
-no Saddam, no Osama

Bet I forgot a bunch of them, too. (If you think I missed any big ones, let me know in the comments, and I’ll add them to the list.) Talk about Teflon! Damn.

You forgot to mention the stolen election.

He’s weakened the Clean Air Act and committed a host of other environmental atrocities.

Plus he stole the damn election in the first place!

His probable use of cocaine and drinking problem before he “cleaned up” at age 40. I don’t want to imply that suffering from alcoholism is shameful, but if Clinton had had a DUI in his past or had allegedly used coke decades ago, I don’t think we would have ever heard the end of it.

There was an obscure incident of domestic terrorism that took place some 9 months after he took office, if I recall. Funny we never heard much about the specifics of what went on in the White House in the months leading up to it.

What about using state funds to buy a stadium for his sports team the Texas Rangers.
What about breaking insider trading rules while at Harken Energy, an oil company doing business in the Middle East. Lucky for him, the SEC director was appointed by his daddy.

    What was WaWaWhitewater all about?

I didn’t mention the election because I think it’s been flogged to death already. Rather than a bullet, to me that seems like a quicksand patch he’s managed to wriggle out of.

You forgot him screwing veterans and firemen.

What about that General Boiken (sp?) (or is in Boinking) guy that made the anti-Islamic remarks a week or so ago while speaking to a church group in U.S. military uniform?

I hope I’m not the only one who is laughing her head off at Letterman’s recent Bush clips. Like, the three second video of Bush spitting on the White House lawn. Or, the series of Bush jokes that aren’t quite jokes.

I didn’t mean the church group was in military uniform. I meant the general was. Words!

Is it possible to see the Letterman Bush clips? Or the jokes?

His appointment of reactionary judges, i.e. Estrada.
