Gigli

“Gigli,” Ben and J.Lo’s “how we met” movie, opening this week, appears to be so brain-liquefyingly bad that I can’t wait to see it. I mean, who could resist ‘Jenny from the Block’ as a foul-mouthed lesbian hitwoman, paired with Ben Affleck doing a poor imitation of Tony Soprano? What’s not to love?

UPDATE: Even the Onion is jumping on the bandwagon.

Memo to self: There’s such a thing as too much posting in one day.

They “took out” the lesbian part. The focus groups didn’t like it. Now, I guess, she’s just mean.

Jennifer Lopez has never actually been in any movie that one could describe as “good,” “reasonably good,” or even “something I might be tempted to watch on a nine hour flight when I ran out of reading material, including the in-flight manual and the ‘Skymall’ magazine.” Does the fact that this latest offering is unmitigated crap surprise you?

And since when do you read/watch Fox? Always surprising me, Adam.

Lisa: I beg to differ. Jennifer Lopez, before she was J.Lo, starred in “Out of Sight,” which is quite good. I also have to admit that I liked her in “The Wedding Planner.”

As for the link, I poached it from some other site that I can’t remember.
