And I love the way the headline emphasizes the fact that unemployment is down — a good thing on its face — instead of the fact that it’s down because people are giving up. That can’t be good.
Maybe, foreign policy notwithstanding, the economy does better under Democratic presidents because whether they agree with Democratic politics or not, people know that domestic policy is actually a priority. “I don’t like him, but he’s really good to me.” Not the first time I’ve heard that.
