Howard Dean TV

The Dean campaign, hanging by a thread, is asking people to vote on which ad to run in Wisconsin before the Feb. 17 “do or die” primary.

I personally like the “Max” ad the most, by an order of magnitude. It’s more positive than the other two, it’s a lot more about Dean than it is Bush or Kerry, and it’s also looser and more personal, I think. What do you think?

Actually I just said it had a better message. But I like my second answer better.

Is he serious? These may be the worst political ads this season (and that includes the awful David Clarke and an old lady chatting over coffee one we get in Milwaukee).

The music alone makes me think is a cartoon.

I voted for Mike because I have heard, from more than one “staunch Republican” friend that exact same thing. They have been Reps all their lives but now they are just at a loss. Bush 2 has driven them to liberal.

Although I don’t think any of these are great ads, I voted for Max, too. She seems the most lively and personable, plus I don’t like ads that refer to the other Dem rivals by name. I don’t think Dean voters should slam Kerry (we may all be voting for him in Nov.); we need to make our case on the strength of Dean’s positions and record as Gov. I’m afraid the laid-off guy (Mike?) would turn off voters (no matter how realistic his situation is). The Dean campaign already has an image problem that it is a campaign for the disaffected, not “mainstream” people.

I hate to agree with Mr. Mosey, but I think these ads are dreadful.

By the way, I wonder if Adam and Mosey can name one thing that they like about the opposing side — I’m just curious if there’s anything they can bring themselves to like.
