The White House has declared next week, Oct. 12-18, “Marriage Protection Week.” Oct. 12 is the anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s murder, and Oct. 11 is National Coming Out Day.

Shows how low he has to go to deflect attention from his failures. Even ESPN decided the Rush Limbaugh crowd was not worth keeping. But I suppose this kind of hypocrisy will play with the Evangelical “Christians” — supposedly the Bush campaign’s focus in the next election.
Bah. Marriage is hardly in need of protection. Protection from what? As far as I can tell, the only real threat to marriage is lots of people being not married. Bah!
