That’s tough. At the moment I can only think of movies that I hate which everybody else loves. “The Sixth Sense” for example. Or “Titanic”.
Love Joe vs. The Volcano…also have a soft spot for (don’t laugh) Mystery Men and Hudson Hawk.
At the time, I really liked North, with Bruce Willis in a pink bunny suit. I imagine I wouldn’t like it now, but I think I must’ve had a crush on Elijah Wood.
Oh yeah, Joe and Mystery Men. And Zoolander.
Howard the Duck. I was baffled by the vitriol heaped on this film. It’s no Citizen Kane, but it’s fun, has decent sfx, and John Barry did the soundtrack. A lot better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
My Dinner with Andre
Lair of The White Worm. I wanted to be able to walk like her.
I don’t know, I think Ken Russell films should be exempt from consideration, as they are just so damned strange. I, too, loved LWW, but I also loved “Gothic,” so I’m not a good judge.
Hmm, guilty pleasure? I assume we’re not talking about “So bad it was good” films, like “Showgirls,” right?
To Dave (and Richard): Speaking of movies I hate
which everyone else loves, isn’t it a *good*
thing to say that a movie is not *Citizen Kane*?
It’s one of the few movies during which I have
fallen asleep.
Point Break… I love that movie.
