I think the winner for Most Egregious Whoring of the Christmas Season Advertisement has to go to Circuit City, which shows a man stuffing the back of a mini-van with Circuit City boxes. The smartly-dressed Circuit City employee helping him with this bounty peers into the van and says with wonderment, “Someone’s going to have a very Happy Holidays!”
Every year I identify more with Charlie Brown and his frustration and anger with the fields of aluminum Christmas trees we all have to wade through during this season.
