The newest Air Jordans disturb me on so many levels, it’s hard to keep them all separate.
But just off the top of my head, is anyone else a little disturbed by the idea of Spike Lee helping to advertise $200 sneakers to kids?

I remember back when I sold shoes, I saw a woman come in with her kid to get some new shoes for school. She clearly didn’t have much money, but she spent $105 to buy her 6 year old kid a pair of reebok pump tennis shoes that he would grow out of in six months. It made me sick.
On the flip side, one of the guys from Lynrd Skynrd came in to buy shoes for his girlfriend, and he made her buy the cheapest pair that was on sale.
About the guy from Skynrd…its simply proves the point that as a woman, no man should dictate what kind and price of shoes I should wear on my feet..that’s why I work to buy them my damn self.
the day i buy these $200 “sneakers” that will be out of style in 4 months anyway I want you all to come over and beat my ass.
