So if a friend sends you one of those e-mail forwarding hoaxes – “send this e-mail to 10 friends and win a prize!” – should you tell them it’s a hoax, or just ignore it?

I used to tell people, but they never learn so I gave up.

Give them one chance… But Suey is right, they never learn.

I openly reply to all that it’s a hoax (without sugar-coating). I try not to offend, but a little embarassment goes a long way…

I agree with Bitchen, nip it in the bud by replying to all and explain that it’s BS and a waste of internet resources.

depends who it is, if it’s your mom or a pretty good friend, politely tell them it’s crap. if it’s a so-so friend or just an acquaintance, blast ’em…

Tell them it’s a hoax. But don’t embarrass them in front of others.
