Mrs. du Toit, meet Justice Scalia.
Justice Scalia, meet Mrs. du Toit.

From an AP story about the Supreme Court striking down Texas’ anti-sodomy law today in a 6-3 vote:

“The court has largely signed on to the so-called homosexual agenda,” Scalia wrote for the three. He took the unusual step of reading his dissent from the bench.

“The court has taken sides in the culture war,” Scalia said, adding that he has “nothing against homosexuals.”

What is he, on a Seinfeld episode? “Gay guys aren’t really citizens. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! The gay part, I mean.”

And, isn’t it exactly the court’s job to take sides? Isn’t that what being a judge is all about? If he’s so uncomfortable with that, then maybe he shouldn’t be a judge any more.

“Liberty presumes an autonomy of self that includes freedom of thought, belief, expression, and certain intimate conduct.” – Majority decision, Lawrence v. Texas – well, if THAT’s the HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA, then sign me up, baby!

Do you think that you could get me a copy of that “agenda?” I’ve been nagging Paul for one, but he keeps forgetting. Then again, he might be behind in his dues.

Does the gay agenda have anything to do with fabulous shoes?

When people who have never had to think about the rightness of their lives are confronted by a group who, for most of their lives, have done nothing but, it’s amazing how quickly they’ll pick up the banner of persecuted victim.

All we got was some breathing room today, with no guarantee that it wont’ be taken away next year or sooner. They act like we took over the whole damn lunch room.

The difference between a majority and a minority is that the minority, in order to survive, must make its case to the majority. The majority, on the other hand, merely nods in assent to itself. (See: Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Antonin “no you can’t record my free speech” Scalia)

When they win, we need to be good sports. When we win, we’re cheating and taking away their “democratic freedoms”. What kind of twice-eaten, twice-shat, re-heated crap is that?

    Somewhat off point but….

Has you noticed that whenever “they” want to demonize gay people they will always show two guys kissing but never two girls kissing. If they were to show two girls kissing, all the laim-brain, anti-gays (which seem to mostly, but not always, consist exclusively of young adult men – the kind that listen to Howard Stern) would get turned on and tune out the message.
That’s how weak and hypocritical the anti-gay movement is.

Well, they really have a lot to worry about. After all, we did take out the ancient Greeks and the Roman empire. Once we get rid of the Catholic Church…. watch out!!!! the gay agenda rules!!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do the “anti-gays” mostly consist of young men? I always had the impression it was pretty equal opportunity, with old white guys who run governments and churches being particularly unfriendly about the whole thing.
