The Wisdom of Marc Andreessen

The Netscape co-founder had some sage words to share during an interview with the Mercury News.

Q: Do you blog?
A: No. I have a day job. I don’t have the time or ego need.

Asked about his weight loss, he said, “I come from Wisconsin, where everyone is overweight.”

What. a. tool.

I’m guessing Marc played a large role in designing the Netscape 4.X browser. What a fine piece of shit that was.

He needs to be slightly corrected: 1) he comes from “America,” where “many” people are overweight or obese, and 2) what did he do for his day job while Netscape #.# was busy sucking so bad?
    ____________
    I go now.

Perhaps he was busy “changing the world” under the AOL/netscape umbrella when they merged with Time-Warner? I know my life has certainly changed for the better as a result.

That’s so funny because Jamie Zawinski has a blog, he’s “jwz” on LiveJournal.

Wow. Everything he said makes him sound like a total asshole. I wonder if he even realizes it.
    Ego, indeed.
