Have you noticed that it’s always called a ‘moonroof’ now, not a ‘sunroof’? Or are these two different things and no one told me? If not, why the overwhelming change to the moon? Is it more romantic or something? No implications of skin cancer from the moon, after all. Maybe that’s it. These things puzzle me.

I think this is the difference: A moonroof consists of a piece of glass that you can see through when it’s closed, but also can be opened so you can feel the wind in your hair. A sunroof is like a solid, retractable piece of steel that has to be open to be enjoyed. When it’s closed it just looks like part of the roof of the car.
Wrong.. they are one in the same… a retractable glass.. so during the day you can see the sun.. at night you can see the moon..duh! People dont get fooled by this.. I see some dealers want to charge more for you to see the “moon” thus you end up paying more for a ‘moonroof’ than you would for a ‘sunroof’. Moonroof=Sunroof..period
