I’m pleased, of course, that MSNBC fired Michael (Weiner) Savage over his incredible hatemongering. But my question is, what took them so long? I can only imagine the kind of stuff he’s already spouted over the last four months.

If that’s not hate speech, I don’t know what is. Do you think maybe he turned out that way because he grew up with the name “Weiner?”
MSNBC should be taken to task for hiring this guy in the first place. It’s not like he wasn’t saying similar things before they decided he deserved a paycheck from them.
Absolutely correct. This is what they get for hiring this guy. They are obsessed with competing with Fox News, and nearly everything they put on the air at night bombs, save Chris Matthews and Brian Williams.
Our home got a call not long ago, right before Phil got canned, a survey by MSNBC and the entire thing was inquiring about people’s thoughts on Fox News blah blah blah, this personality vs. that personality…The whole Ventura deal is the same. Toss any number of personalities up on the board and see if they stick.
Although, it doesn’t seem they’ve been able to even get Ventura on air with so many production problems. I’m shocked someone there even had the notion to hire Savage. They should have known better.
