This season of “The West Wing” has been scattershot at best. They seemed to be all over the place, too cutesy at times (like the whole inauguration Bible episode) or too complex and elliptical at other times.
Well, as of last night, they’re back, baby. In a big way. So much so that I actually enjoyed seeing Sam Seaborn again – and that’s saying something. Funny, sharp, topical, focused. I hope they can keep it up.
Not into this show simply because they can’t air a new episode without half of the blogging world ecstatically posting about how great it was.
Last night was especially funny. I loved how Sam fired a campaign staffer for insulting Donna. Donna rocks.
Well, maybe that’s because it’s an amazing show. If our real west wing is half as competent and compassionate, then we are truly blessed. But, I fear that’s not the case.
That’s a joke, right, Nik?
A girl can dream, right?
I remember when the show first started, and a realistic, compassionate white house was possible. Now, it’s the west wing we wish we had.
yeah, i’m digging the storyline regarding the slaughter in the African country – but the stupid speechwriter/intern subplot was atrocious!!! ( although I like the speechwriter’s character, it was just awful…)
